First opened in 1857 by Loreto Sisters.
LORETO DAY SCHOOL SEALDAH has for the last few decades, on the initiative of its former Prinicipals, especially Sr Cyril, developed a broad spectrum of service where the underprivileged are increasingly focused to enable them to take their place with dignity in society.
TARGET IS PRIVILEGED TO SPONSOR:
Regular schooling for 35 children from very disadvantaged backgrounds. Almost all of these children are first generation learners, also the first in their entire families to receive an English medium education.
TARGET would be delighted to arrange individual sponsorships in the Loreto Educational System, without making any charges for administration, etc. All individual donations go directly to this school.

A number of Loreto Sealdah students are continuing their further education in Colleges in and around Kolkata. Two Loreto Day School Sealdah students have recently been accepted to the Community College Initiative (CCI) Program of the USA.
A number of Loreto Sealdah students are continuing their further education in Colleges in and around Kolkata. Two Loreto Day School Sealdah students have recently been accepted to the Community College Initiative (CCI) Program of the USA.
This Program is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department and awards Scholarships to very disadvantaged students. The CCI Program is conducted as a merit-based open competition.
